40mm ABS 92.5° Solvent Weld Waste White Swept Bend
Swept bends are used to create a 92.5-degree change of direction in a waste pipe system. They have a longer radius than knuckle bends and the 92.5-degree angle promote a self-cleansing flow.
Our solvent weld waste is manufactured in the UK to BS EN 1455 and is kitemarked.
To make a solvent weld joint, first ensure that the outer wall of the pipe and the inner wall of the fitting are both clean and free from grit or swarf. Apply SC250 solvent cement to both surfaces. Push the pipe fully into the fitting and give it a twist to ensure that full contact has been made. Clean off any excess solvent with a damp cloth and leave for 5 minutes to set. The installation should be left for 12 hours before testing.
Solvent weld joints are permanent - they cannot be demounted once the joint has been made. When using solvent cement, always work in a well ventilated area and keep the cement away from heat sources or naked flames. Avoid any contact with skin - if contact does occur then wash thoroughly with soap and water.

What is a waste pipe?
Waste pipes carry waste water from sinks, showers and other appliances that use water away from your home. They are usually narrower than soil pipes since they are only designed to carry water. These pipes do not require a venting system since they do not carry contaminated water that can produce harmful gases. Push-fit waste pipes are becoming more and more popular with both DIYers and professional installers. This is because they: Are easy to install and create a water-tight fitting thanks to ring-seal joints.
Installing a waste pipe?
It’s important to know the difference between waste and soil pipes as each require different vents and connections upon installation. When installing a waste pipe, it is crucial to use fewer connections and keep the piping as simple as possible to ensure the drainage process is smooth and water can be carried away easily.
is this pipe suitable for cutting down in length?
Yes, the waste pipe can be cut down to the lengths required.
