Acrylic, or to give it its full title, Polymethyl Methacrylate, PMMA for short, is produced in a range of formats of which sheet, rod & tube are the ones we predominantly deal with. Acrylic sheet is a versatile plastic substrate which lends itself to a wide range of applications in signage, glazing, point of sale & display and many industrial/engineering finished products. Acrylic sheet has excellent optical clarity, is readily formed and fabricated, is relatively strong and durable, even being approved for many food contact applications. In addition, Acrylic sheet has excellent outdoor weathering performance giving 10 to 15 years of quality life in the UK climate.

Returning an item – Damaged
In the event you receive damaged goods we will arrange a replacement item for you. However, it is your responsibility to notify us within 72 hours of receipt that an item has been received damaged (please see risk below).
Returning an item – Risk
On receipt of the delivery you, the customer, are responsible for those goods and any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk.
Returning an item – Incorrect
If you receive incorrect goods it is your responsibility to notify us within 72 hours of receipt at which point we will make the necessary arrangements.
Delivery shortages
Firstly, our carrier delivers parcels/packages. Any shortages of them must be reported to the driver on receipt. Secondly, shortages of contents of the parcel(s)/package(s) against the enclosed Brissco advice note must be made within 72 hours.

Q. What are the stock sheet sizes available to buy?
A. Cast Acrylic sheet is available as 2440x1220mm, 2030x1520mm and 3050x2030mm
Q. What thickness are available?
A. Clear Cast Acrylic is available from our standard range in 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm & 10mm. Others are available on request with our Sales Colleagues from as little as 0.8mm, then 12mm, 15mm, 20mm & 25mm. The Block range, thicknesses start at 30mm and incrementally increase to 100mm.
Q. Can Acrylic sheet be cleaned?
A. Yes, but with great care. Use flowing clean water to remove grit and dirt or compressed air in cans or an airline is often more effective. For more stubborn areas use a non abrasive cloth with clean water with dabbing or blotting motions. Avoid wiping the surface as its virtually impossible not to scratch the surface however minutely. Aersol and abrasive cleaners should not be used.
Q. Can scratches be removed from Acrylic?
A. Yes, in some circumstances they can, depending on how severe it is. The technique for this is similar to removing scatches from car paint work by using different grades of polishing compound. Using different grades of glass paper then using a buffing compound can achieve similar results. It is worth saying that this process will rarely produce an 'invisible' repair and will affect the optical clarity of the material.
