How much adhesive do I need to use ?
For small sections of PVC Hygiene Sheets you can use the plastic rivets, but for installations that use full sheets our recommended method of fixing is to use 2-Part Cladding adhesive. Ideally when using PVC Sheets to clad walls you should use 1 x 6.5kg tub of adhesive for every 1220mm x 2440mm (8' x 4") sheet. This may sound excessive but it is crucial that each sheet is soundly secured to the substrate
Can hygiene cladding be used outside?
Hygiene cladding cannot be used externally, as the board is not UV Stable.
How should hygiene cladding be cleaned?
To keep your PVC Cladding sheets looking as good as new, we recommend that you clean down the sheets occasionally with warm water and a mild household detergent. You should use a soft cloth, and in particular, you should avoid using brushes, sponges or abrasive pads that scratch the surface of the sheets. Finally, please be sure to never use solvent-based cleaner on these products.
What is hygiene cladding?
Hygiene Cladding is the name given to a particular type of PVC Sheeting that has been developed to keep walls and ceilings clean and free from all types of dirt and germs. There are various grades available and it is generally a cost-effective solution to the problem of maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the long term. Hygiene Cladding is usually found in commercial or public buildings or in institutions such as schools, universities and hospitals.
How best to saw PVC cladding sheets?
For both hand saws and electric saws you should use blades with a minimum tooth set, ideally 8 to 10 teeth per inch. Prevent overheating of the cladding by feeding it slowly to the saw.
Drilling PVC cladding sheets
You can use conventional drills on our hygiene PVC Wall Cladding sheets, but be sure to remove any free drill chips in our to prevent the sheet from overheating. We would also recommend that the drill speed is set to low for the same reason.
